    • Nissan GT-R VR38DETT stock turbo 1/4 mile record improved to 9.336@148.95

To think the Nissan GT-R is running low 9's on the factory turbochargers. Yes, that is without nitrous. The stock turbo Nissan GT-R record now stands at 9.336 seconds at 148.95 miles per hour as set by Slowpoke Tuning.

To be fair these are Nismo turbochargers so while factory turbos they certainly have an advantage on the original GT-R turbos:

The car ran consistently between 9.3-9.4 all weekend, which lead to a PB as well as a new stock turbo record (no nitrous) of 9.33@148.95.

We are going to hit our local track soon and see if we can go after an 8.9x pass on slicks
Hey, a record is a record and hopefully they do push into the 8's on a factory turbo option. It will just further reinforce what a great tuning platform the GT-R is.

Any idea how much weight is pulled out of the car?

        No clue.

I assume it's offset by a cage though?
