    • BMW B48 2.0 liter four-cylinder powered MKV 2020 Toyota Supra coming to the USA?

Everyone knows the new Supra is powered by a BMW B58 3.0 liter inline-6. This is controversial in of itself as Toyota is using BMW power but a four-cylinder production Toyota Supra never existed at least not from the Toyota factory.

The inline-6 is a staple of the Supra line. Then again so was the iron block. As was a Toyota design. Toyota decided to throw their Supra heritage out the window so at this point what does a four-cylinder BMW B48 powered Supra even matter in the grand scheme of things?

Documents from CARB (California Air Resources Board) show filings for a B48 powered Supra:

Does this mean a four-cylinder Supra is confirmed for North America? No. It definitely hints at one though.

Originally Toyota claimed we would only get the six-cylinder version. Toyota only speak the language of money so who cares what they claim.

If it will make them oney, they'll sell it here. Updates to come when we get official confirmation on this story one way or the other.
