    • The limited edition 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition is a $97,675 joke

Here comes another Lexus 'F' model prepared to fight performance battles that took place a decade ago. What the F is Lexus thinking? Who is going to pay $ 97,675 for one of these? Offering a naturally aspirated motor that does not match what BMW M or AMG was doing back in 2005 is a joke in 2019.

Ford is doing a better job with this style of motor and for less money. If you are going to do it, stand out with a premium design. The Voodoo 5.2 liter V8 is a jewel. The fact you get that epic high revving flat-plane crank V8 in a car that starts at $59k is incredible. The fact that Lexus is charging nearly $100k for a heavier vehicle with an inferior powerplant is laughable. You do not even get a DCT transmission for that coin.

472 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque would be fine if the RC-F Track Edition weighed 3200 pounds. The RC F weighs over 4000 pounds. That means it has a worse power to weight ratio than a BMW E60 M5.

To be fair the Track Edition is said to cut 177 pounds. Lexus adds carbon fiber pieces, a lightweight exhaust, and carbon ceramic brakes. Even if Lexus is not lying about the weight that means a best case scenario of 3873 pounds.

2020 RC F Track Edition: 8.20 lbs per hp
      2006 BMW E63 M6: 7.71 lbs per hp
2008 CLK63 Black Series: 7.84 lbs per hp

This car is too fat, too weak, and too late.

They are only producing 500 and bringing 50 to the USA. There probably are 50 people who do not know any better Lexus can unload them on.

Everyone else will be enjoying cheaper, lighter, and faster German or American rivals with far more tuning potential.

Yeah I'm not sure why anyone would buy anything from Lexus. The only advantage they have where I live is you get preferred parking spots at the airport if you drive one of their hunks o' junk

I'd honestly rather Uber to the airport than drive this thing.
