    • How much power can you make with a nearly 30 year old stock internal R32 GTR RB26DETT? Over 700 to all four wheels

This is impressive for several reasons. First of all, the R32 Skyline GTR is almost three decades old at this point. Its popularity stems from a reputation for big aftermarket power and being able to put that power down.

The Japanese manufacturers agreed to curb output so those who wanted more power simply needed to tune. The R32 grew to legendary status due to this. It also led to a desire among American enthusiasts to convince Nissan to bring the GTR to the USA which finally happened with the R35 generation.

So what does a nearly 30 year old RB26DETT put down on the stock internals with a 66 mm turbocharger on E85? 715 all wheel horsepower:

A lot of power but not a lot of area under the curve. There is nothing from 0-5000 rpm. Once it comes on it hits hard though.

This old architecture doesn't have the benefits of many modern turbo six cylinders with higher compression ratios, direct injection, and variable you name it.

      Impressive power nonetheless.
